thinking all day about what i would like to try in the Contemporary Woven Boro class. thinking about the concept of Boro...which with my limited understanding so far is a mending...a continuation of a needed cloth by merging another cloth. so...these two things don't really fit within this context, but...hmmm. the little goat is something i did in Beasts....as far as it got....the second pic is of a piece of cloth that caught my daughter jenny's eye at the big thrift shop in Albuquerque some time ago. she held it, touched it, then put it back. when she was off in another isle i put it with my items. it was pink, for one, but also more fou fou than i am. than i see her to be too, really, but she really liked it. so today i tea dyed it to a kind of peach more than pink and i am wondering if these could go together somehow on a large weaving of neutral cloth to come to be a quilt, or coverlet for her when she sets out with her goat herd sometime in the near future to find a life that is hers? what if it could?
