because of circumstance, i needed to spend some HOURS being really really quiet. so i read a little but then found self just staring at the window where the Magic Diaries Cloth hangs. and because i couldn't do anything else, really, i looked way longer than i ordinarily would have and being the perfect time of day, Sun began illuminating that whole World of cloth. it caused me to remember how i'd seen it as seperate "rooms" and to remember that i had thought about making seperate cloths of each of these rooms someday. this, on the right panel....yes. i'll begin here.
but my eyes drifted to the small pile of over dye scraps from the other day and i picked them up, just holding them then laying them on the foot of the "company bed". arranging and rearranging and then began thinking....What if these were literally all i had to work with?
the "pinkindigo" was in an odd shape and i didn't want to make the noise of finding scissors, so just folded it over and here we have it. to see it better i pinned it to the wall on top of that strange imprinted image on walnut cloth thats been hanging there. Most of the walnut image is hidden by the overdye cloth....
so here it is. early this afternoon i drive Julian into Albuquerque for his trip back home. and when i get back home, i will begin stitching.
