i will look back tonight. see what i see. it became more second nature as the days continued. now, 11 more months.
held to morning Sun, the white became sun colored. and as i looked at the odd little experimental stitches, i thought how White would be good for a spider web cloth.
has been such learning. will continue to be. will continue to be called Altar Cloth. how much to put here, how much to leave off. why, of each thing put. i will learn a lot with these. and what i love in this moment, LOVE a lot...is how "right" it is to let them go. this is something i don't understand in the moment, but know i will. So, Cindy...off in the mail tomorrow. it's Good. very Good. Thank you. and Janie.
this tiny piece is my most favorite. it is from a seam of something from so long ago that what the something was, i don't know. but a bound seam, separated and flattened. and maybe is why the making of these feels so good. just small, really really small things have an important place within the whole. anyway...i love it. me and love. oh well....
and i'm done for the day now. Finally, one of the onion starts has sent it's emmisary green up through the earth. i'd been wondering if none would come. but....there, in this warm warm late afternoon, there it is. i squated and marveled and was glad.
and i thought i was done for today. but, no. out of the blue, obcessing about White, as an under current to everything, it seems, i suddenly realized that a spider web might be made of white. different kinds of white as there are different kinds of days the spider weaves through. and not a nine patch, but a different kind of 9...in an oval. like slices in a pie. so..ok. 9 kinds of White.
