then, OutSide, i looked at how "debris" had settled as it dried and fell, blown by Wind. how it found edges of things to tuck against
i see how i walk in exact certain ways, to and fro, and those pathways are compacted in this sand almost like cement. rain skims the surface and runs off, collecting in those tucked in places.
hollyhocks remain green year round. their leaves are torn and stems bent, but once the warmth settles in, they continue to grow....the moisture held by "debris". Debris. i like that word.
