Mercy

if you look to the right on this page  there is now a UTube with Rising Appalachia....it's the UTube that Jan sent in a comment yesterday.  I know this "song" with Sam's words for a while now.  And to listen to the Sound of the "music" only with the images of  Simone Lipscomb....a whole added

i don't know yet much about this Cloth.   But when i lived through the last some days and then listened to this UTube i was/am so quiet deep IN to the sense of Mercy.

What IS Mercy?

Mercy.

 

the most loved Goat born here's name is Mercy because i had not planned to love her at all.  She was one of the last of the many born that first spring and i had little to give at that point.  Was worn out of love.

she was a doeling of Onday and the story is so long and i am tired but she was caught by a hind leg in a piece of plastic rope, hanging by that leg and long story short,  i bit through that rope to free her, still expecting her not to live but she did and she is Out There now,  named Mercy   the name she knows and comes to.

so i am going to think about this word Mercy.  This construct.   Mercy.  it's about a Lot that goes on in the day to day.  It's a LOT about the skies recently,  the crashed fence,  the fierceness on my own part to FIX things to keep us safe,  maybe really,  to keep my Heart safe,    And i am thinking so much more.  Will stay with it for awhile,  what Mercy might be.

the celestial sphere.   atmosphere.   Sky.  

 

the New 12 ft of fencing,  give or take.   It was the Old 12ft of fencing that smashed me into the mud.  I was Under it.    So,  it was a matter of being squashed.   Goats.  save the Goats.   Squashed.

so,  Alz. B's son Bill.  He likes to run things on the edge.  Was coming   "any minute"  for hours.  I tried to keep Goats here or  then there in order to make it easier,  but to no avail.  Between imminent storm and the neighbor's fireworks,  they would not have it and broke through two attempts to contain them until i just finally gave up and let it go.  Late evening,  just before he arrived,  STORM came again and so some rain to begin it and they ran into the Albatross  and i ran too,  closing their way out.  Stuck.  They were stuck.  But he DID arrive and with him was Allan,  his neighbor, who i also work for,  and we began.  Overhead,  or,  as we call it,  SKY,  

moved

whirled,  churned,  lit up and was beyond Grand.   We worked,  cutting and digging and moving over and screwing in,  and the

SKY

i cannot tell you.  There is no way to say it.  Above,  in all and every direction was Some Kind of Sky.  Different,  in all directions.   At one point just Above,  in NorthEast

 

These are Mammatus Clouds...Mammary Clouds  that i have never seen before.  You can google this.  

Other directions GRAND DARK and BRILLIANT LIGHT clouds with LIGHTNING.  This kind of atmospheric phenomena is called Micro Burst.  You can google that too.  Micro Burst.  Can drop an ordinary Airliner from the "sky".  

The turbulance.  Up There above me,  struggling here  on my little rim of this Earth.

I am humbled.

on Friday,  when it was HERE in full force of what it is,  Tay and i were trying to KEEP  what we know and what we love .... Safe.   Yet

we were at it's Mercy.  and i know that that is just a word...mercy.....there is no Mercy....there simply is....Sky.

a very unusual storm,  from the East,  which "never" happens in warm months,  but.....

A large section of the Doe Middle Pen fence went down with me under it.  Banged up.  Me and the fence.  It was hailing.  I was afraid for the Goats and wasn't thinking right.    Neighbor driving by  helped me wire it back together for the night,  tomorrow i'll find Paul.  It 's going to take some time getting  things back  together.  So....for now,  Until,   i will need to be  Out There.

the world of ideas does NOT rule over.  It is a world of itself.  The "material world" is what it is.  And the dream world that we inhabit together, yet another world.  All Valid.  All interconnective.  All Beauty Full and all vital.

 

Thunder Man is coming

Old Cowboy Tuesday seeped into Wednesday with a visit from the over seeing Nurse from the Hospice Mothership in Albuquerque.  Checking up,  kind of a quality control visit.   And we "passed".  I am always a little ify about whether or not OCB really qualifies.  I am so used to him and he seems the same to me with just an incremental loss.  But we were good and OK and i am grateFULL l and i say that.  I am Grateful.  Thank You so much and it's ok.

But, still, time.

 

taking this slow.  I didn't have a full piece of tea dye Harem Cloth.  Just scraps.  so i pieced them together on the Backgound Cloth first.  Never did this before but it was extremely satisfying.  Once done,  the harem cloth to the background cloth,  i invisible basted this "front",,,,,,this STORY on.  Again.  Very satisfying.  Yes.  It's telling a story.  It's telling ...me...a story.  It's a story that i don't even know yet.   Soft,  slitty eyed eeee  kind of thing and yes and ok.  So, Tell me.

i finally Have it.  And it is not disappointing.  She WRITES.   I read.  and i think about how these Cloths are efforts to speak Story.

Goats thrive.  Run the corridor,  back and forth through evening into early night.

this photograph....somewhere around 20 years ago.   a Solstice.   A moment that marked a moment... when i realized it was going to be different than i had imagined.  Harder.  I didn't have a clue how hard.   But i had a sense of Holding Place.  But NO sense of what that might mean.

So i sat.  Watched dark come.  I DID hold Place.  but i thought tonight about what that had taken.  What i Gave to Hold Place.
