do i call them spines?...they are like petals of a kind. Individually pulled loose and off and wrapped in the cotton cloth, set in a jar of water a week or so. Color of Earth. Fugitive? i don't know. i googled some but came up with nothing. But Pine. I am guessing strong Tannin. Only can wash and hang on cloth line in Sun.
