how would one .....make....a bird?   how would one make a Spirit bird?   What is the difference between  Bird and Spirit Bird?

and beyond,  each month,  they tell the STORY of this planet Earth,  Who we are,  What we are.

If i could go back in time and bring forward anything from my childhood,  i would bring all those National Geographics that were in the attic,  that my grandfather had subscribed to from the beginning.  I could build my house of them. 

 

 

 

 

 

This,  photographs of common plants revealed in ultraviolet light....Craig P. Burrows.   Is this maybe, ?,  how the Night Beings see?  Moths?,  Bats?  others that i don't even know?  Could this be their night vision?  How this might change everything i know if it were so.

and then...if the above were not enough,  there is a section entitled:  Embark   and this month,  Anne Lamott.  Entitled:  Despite Perils,  Decide to Hope.    I haven't read it yet.  Am saving it for Morning.

eyes

 

ok.  Though i don't often spend a great deal of time with  assigning meaning,  i'm looking at my constant relationship with Eyes.   When i used to make the Art Dolls...their faces were carved with my grandfather's pen knife.  I would always begin with an eye.   Drawings and then cloth,   now Cloths with Drawing almost always have eyes.

Maybe it's because nothing really needs to be "said".  The eye speaks.

i woke last night at around 2:30 am as i do and sat up a while.  Thinking about the eyes of Christine Blasey Ford.  I juiced up this laptop and went to various  news sites and sat,  staring at her eyes.   Then i shut it all down and did Metta.  For her.  For Us.  For me.   i could imagine her in her home with two front doors,  sitting,  awake in the dark at the end of maybe the second longest day in her life.   Her eyes wide.  I sat with her.  Did Metta.

Emrie and i look at National Geographics.   Emrie can touch Eye, Nose, Mouth, Ear.   Emrie knows eyes.  You remember i told of the Nat Geo article of full face transplants,  and tho they were confusing,  because there was no recognizable nose or mouth,  Emrie found and put her finger on the eye.  When we go through the pages,  she likes to have a spoon and she "feeds" the pictures.   A while ago, she immediately saw the eye of the octopus,  i said....eye....and she touched it with her one year old index finger,  then "fed" the octopus with her spoon...to a place she imagined a mouth

today

i watched.  From the beginning to the end.  I'd not planned to.  Had told self i wouldn't.  Would read about it later.  But i watched.  All day.  Alyssia had appointments about school,  so for the most part,  it was me and Emrie until the bus dropped Julian off at 3:12.  And it was still going. He asked me about it.  I tried to tell him,  "in five words or less".    Meaning being concise.  But he already knew things about it.  He's 9.   So,  i watched all day and it's dark now and i don't know what i can say about it all,  other than i had never imagined,  EVER,  that this would be at issue in this United States of America.   I think how it seems that this angry entitled man will be making decisions for All of Us when Emrie is 21 years.  When Emrie is a woman.  I will be dead then.  But Emrie will be a young woman.

in congruent.  Over these last days,  the incongruency was at issue.   The original,  so quiet Cloth,  and the addition of the "other".    There was a tendency last eve to remove all the fragments,  to attempt to re~do with just thread,  making things less edgy.   But, in the end,  two scraps were taken off,  i'm not sure why,  these,  but they pulled the "story" too hard and beyond what was needed here.  

i thought about that story about the Invading Ships and the Indigenous peoples on the shore,  how the indigenous peoples did not SEE the large ships upon their horizon of the sea.  Just did not see them.  They did not see them until after those ships dispatched their small boats and came upon land to conquer.  The story goes,  they didn't see them because nothing in their history had given context for such.  and so they were invisible to their minds.

i think there are Things invisible to our minds because we have no known context.  This does not negate the reality that Things exist and are active.  There is way more to Know than we "know" right now.   Curiosity,  Wonder,  Openness,  Willingness can help us SEE things or feelSee them,  Things that present  humanity, this western world,  has not seen before,  seen before meaning has not  imagined.  Has not created context for.   These things remain,  in our distant and not so distant past,  here,  in America, 2018.  There are Peoples who remember things.

all the Energy beings are in place.  That rectangle...the ambivalence...but it's some kind of code for the rest.  Battery is out of power.  so...tomorrow.

if you can get two,  get a 2B and a 6B graphite pencil.  like cheap.  Dick Blick.  if there isn't a store nearby.  2 pencils.  paper.

a paper bag from the grocery is good,  the texture,  the color....or any thing.  Printer paper works.  I've drawn on paper towel,  toilet paper, even.

if you have the 6 B,  you can push your finger into the drawn line and soften it,  smear it.  it becomes organic,  organic being alive.  Real.  Not a line,  but a livingness.  

I think today i am loving drawing more than i ever have,  and i have loved drawing.  Like LOVED drawing.  I have said drawing is better than sex and it is.  Way better.

International Day of Peace

established in 1981 by unanimous  resolution of the United Nations.   This year, celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.  "The Right of Peace".

When there is peace on your road,  you can grow a garden.  You can plant the seeds.  Give water,  day unto day because you are Safe.  You can give water for enough days till the Plant People begin to give back.  You take some,  for your food.  You leave some for their seed and the completion of their circle of seasons.  

 

 

if not more,  like, Goats,  or what Ever,  you can have a Chicken who will wander your world and give you one perfect egg a day.  

If you are Very Lucky,  you can plant trees for fruit and nuts and for bees which might then give you honey.

Sun will rise.  Set.  Moon will rise.  Set.  You will Live.   It doesn't take much.  It is very simple if you don't need more.  if you don't need more,  it is enough.  Maybe even sometimes, enough to share.  if there is Peace on your road.

 

the day i have imagined

the days of Kantha,  then days of the black and white thread beads.   Anticipating.  What might it look like??????? 

 

 

startling at first.  

i'd gotten the 3 baskets of Very Small scraps out,  poured them on to the little couch bed and just fingered through,  having nothing really in mind,  other than that Felt Sense,  which is just Feeling.   Just a Sense.   Pinned some.  Ones seen here and then later, more.   I had to go off,  down to the Lakeside Market for ice and when i got back,  came in and looked to the left,  i was startled again.

But this is how it is for me.   How it always has been...since my childhood in the woods down by the creek.  How  Woods and Forests and Deserts ARE....so many Energy Spirits moving,  flickering,  flitting about,  only visible to that inner FeltSense,  but in that way,  so visible and very real.
