these lables. There is something about them that is so appealing. ?????? i got a box of them. for no reason. something about a Mobile. also for Emrie to draw on. then...make a mobile of hers. They make me feel good.
a couple things about all that yesterday. first....i would so much MISS the connection with responses....the WE that happens, the US. that we all go along Together
and then, there's a so strong sense that i am just Missing Something....not seeing, something in plain sight...?????
i went around, as i do, every day, reading all our blogs and felt as i always do...a part of people's lives...that receiving the stories of Our days, i am a Part of that. This is GOOD. am grateful. very.
it has been raining for 24 hours. Steady downpour. except miraculously, as often happens, a let up around 11 am and then again around 4 pm. the miracle being that this is close enough to FEED times. Today...only a let up...still a soft rain falling but letting up enough to do what needed to be done. it was Feed delivery day. We go through 4 bales a month of grass hay. Ordinarily Jenny is responsible for bringing, but due to circumstance now, can't. What to do? Alyssia brought 2 bales in the back of her SUV. The feed store guys are great at tricky loading. They stood them upright, squashed them in. I stood ready at the feed shed between Jack Flash and Nogal....door shoveled and freed up ready to OPEN the little sled in position to pull the bale down the hill from her vehicle so she could flip it over into the shed. YES and it was done. She drove up with the other bale and Emrie and i walked up with the sled. On to the Curry house where half of the feed is stored and fed from. Repeat with the sled for Alyssia while Emrie and i measured out and fed the evening pellets. We had to empty the Bowls of rainwater. We were like clock work. Not a lot of conversation, just a lot of Doing, the 3 of us...one 77, one 33 and one 5. a team.
